The Spa Six Hours is an event during which several hundred historic touring cars and sports cars built before 1965 compete on the world-­ famous Spa-Francorchamps circuit. There is a unique atmosphere in which you become totally immersed in historic motorsport. It all starts in the paddock, where you have the opportunity to get close to the classic cars, see the teams as they work and talk to the drivers and mechanics. A petrolhead can’t ask for more. You become caught up in history: the smells, the sounds, the last-­ minute adjustments. Then the pressure really starts. Testing, qualifying and racing precede the climax: the Spa Six Hours Endurance race. Machines and crews battle against the clock, in daylight or under floodlights at night. Every lap brings the history of motorsport to life. There are the cars of course, but it’s also a gathering of real enthusiasts. Drivers (including some legendary ones), enlightened enthusiasts and the merely curious, all share the same fascination. It’s more than just an event, it’s an experience like no other and one I can’t wait to go back to!
